It looks like /usr/share/vim/current/suse.vimrc is not used anymore because
/usr/share/vim/current/defaults.vim has

" include SUSE tweaks
ru suse.vim

'suse.vim', not 'suse.vimrc'

Anyway, I would love some way to add incremental files to vim config (conf.d
style), just like I can do with systemd files.

for rcfile in split(globpath("/usr/share/vim/current/vim.d/", "*.vim"), '\n')
    execute('source '.rcfile)
for rcfile in split(globpath("/etc/vim.d/", "*.vim"), '\n')
    execute('source '.rcfile)

Or maybe "ru rcfile" would be better. I'm not an expert in vim.

I just didn't test if globpath return files in alphabetic order or filesystem
order... it should be the former to allow (01_file1.vim, 02_file2.vim...)
