I am facing the same issue with Tumbleweed, latest update installed. Kontact application reports quite often that the Akonadi server is not running. This happens about every minute. Even more, it looses the information for the tasks and for the calendar. Emails seem to remain. In settings "Grundeinrichtung f�r KOrganizer" --> Calendar the account is still available, but restart doesn't help. Only the deletion and a new setup is helpful but crashes again after about one minute. I have deleted in ~home all mail-relevant files to reset Akonadi completely. Also, the rebuild of Akonadi database didn't help. I am increasing the priority to P2 because I think this is an important bug which should be fixed soon. I am happy to support with log files, etc but the Akonadi structure is quite complex and I do not know at the moment which information are helpful and required to help solving this issue.
