Please allow me to disagree ;-)
This happened to me me on several 12.3 machines (with very different hardware),
so I'd guess it's quite likely to hit more people. In other words: please
create a maintenance update for 12.3.
The package from comment #16 fixes the problem for me - maybe you can just use
this package (+ the initscript changes that helped Volker) for the 12.3 update.
BTW: Is this fixed in factory? I still have a lock on mdadm, but I don't want
to keep it forever ;-)
