Starting about a week ago, Thunderbird dies with a segmentation fault under at
least two circumstances:
1. Compacting the Inbox, either by right clicking and selecting Compact or by
File -> Compact folders
2. Trying to run offline

Starting with or without --safe-mode makes no difference.

$ thunderbird --safe-mode
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

When compacting a folder, the compact operation completes, then it crashes.
(the folder hows up as compacted on restart)
