Starting about a week ago, Thunderbird dies with a segmentation fault under at least two circumstances: 1. Compacting the Inbox, either by right clicking and selecting Compact or by File -> Compact folders 2. Trying to run offline Starting with or without --safe-mode makes no difference. $ thunderbird --safe-mode Segmentation fault (core dumped) When compacting a folder, the compact operation completes, then it crashes. (the folder hows up as compacted on restart) Possibly useful information: ca-certificates-mozilla-2.11-1.1.noarch kmozillahelper-5.0.1-1.1.x86_64 libmozjs-17_0-17.0-12.3.x86_64 libmozjs185-1_0-1.8.5-19.4.11.x86_64 MozillaFirefox-52.1.0-1.1.x86_64 MozillaFirefox-branding-openSUSE-45-2.1.x86_64 mozilla-nspr-4.13.1-1.1.x86_64 mozilla-nss-3.29.5-1.1.x86_64 mozilla-nss-certs-3.29.5-1.1.x86_64 mozilla-nss-tools-3.29.5-1.1.x86_64 MozillaThunderbird-52.1.0-1.1.x86_64 MozillaThunderbird-buildsymbols-52.1.0-1.1.x86_64 Linux HQ-slmbp.us.ara.com 4.10.13-1-default #1 SMP PREEMPT Thu Apr 27 12:23:31 UTC 2017 (e5d11ce) x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
