Could you give more details?  What packages have been updated?  If it's the
kernel update, booting with the previous kernel still works?

If so, please give the dmesg outputs from both working and non-working cases
(or at least some screenshot indicating the kernel errors).

Last but not least, please give the hwinfo output, too.
