--- Comment #13 from Marcelo Borro marcelovborro@ig.com.br 2007-10-10 08:35:39 MST --- I tryed to configure alsa creating the file /etc/modprobe.d/alsa with this content, as described in http://alsa.opensrc.org/Usb-audio : # ALSA portion alias char-major-116 snd alias snd-card-0 snd-usb-audio
# OSS/Free portion alias char-major-14 soundcore alias sound-slot-0 snd-card-0
# card #1 alias sound-service-0-0 snd-mixer-oss alias sound-service-0-1 snd-seq-oss alias sound-service-0-3 snd-pcm-oss alias sound-service-0-12 snd-pcm-oss
But:
heliserver:~ # aplay /opt/kde3/share/sounds/KDE_Startup.wav ALSA lib confmisc.c:768:(parse_card) cannot find card '0' ALSA lib conf.c:3510:(_snd_config_evaluate) function snd_func_card_driver returned error: Dispositivo inexistente ALSA lib confmisc.c:392:(snd_func_concat) error evaluating strings ALSA lib conf.c:3510:(_snd_config_evaluate) function snd_func_concat returned error: Dispositivo inexistente ALSA lib confmisc.c:1251:(snd_func_refer) error evaluating name ALSA lib conf.c:3510:(_snd_config_evaluate) function snd_func_refer returned error: Dispositivo inexistente ALSA lib conf.c:3982:(snd_config_expand) Evaluate error: Dispositivo inexistente ALSA lib pcm.c:2145:(snd_pcm_open_noupdate) Unknown PCM default aplay: main:546: audio open error: Dispositivo inexistente
For my surprise, I got sound using xine, but it cuts the end of the file in the reproduction... But still no sound on any other application.
