Comment # 29 on bug 859711 from James Knott

There's nothing in .xsession-errors, but every time it fails, I get this in
kdm.log:

The XKEYBOARD keymap compiler (xkbcomp) reports:

Errors from xkbcomp are not fatal to the X server
