During the installation of open-vm-tools 1.3.0, libxmlsec1-openssl1 is also required to be installed. Doing a zypper in on open-vm-tools triggers the install of libxmlsec1-openssl1. Vrsion 1.2.26 gets installed. libxmlsec1-openssl1 depends on libxemsec1-1. libxmsec1-1 was already installed and remained at version 1.2.25. After open-vm-tools was installed, trying to start the open-vm-tools vgauthd service service failed due to version incompatibilities between libxmlsec1-openss1 and libxmlsec1-1. Subsequently, updating libxmlsec1-1 to the available version1.2.26 allowed the vgauthd service to start.
