Right, this is what OpenSource DRI drivers are doing. Possibly also the fglrx
Sadly the problem still stands that NVIDIA binary
driver is not allowed to use
the udev methods due to the GPL.
Now I remember again NVIDIA me telling once, that they would like to use this
framework, but can't due to GPL_ONLY exported symbols.
This will make it hard to hook into it.
Exactly. Is there still resmgr alive? Could it be done that way? Or with some
weird PAM module running during graphical login?
