I'm currently on kernel 4.12.14-lp150.12.45-default on Leap 15 and it still needs the parameter. I noticed that it still reports the CPU fan as 0 RPM however I tested all of the 6 fans it shows and fan 2 is the CPU fan and fan 6 is the CPU Opt fan so it's getting all the fans, it just doesn't know which is the CPU fan. Is this something I could correct with a setting somewhere?
