I'm also not able to reproduce, just set the same LS_OPTIONS and the same
aliases and it works out of the box:

  /tmp/test> ll 1\ rk\ forms-front\ folder/
  /tmp/test> ls 1\ rk\ forms-front\ folder/

also used <TAB> after the string `1\ r'
