I found the soundfonts and now have both /usr/share/sounds/sf2 and
/usr/share/mscore-3.3/sound in the SoundFonts default.
After that I can have three files in Synthesizer: MuseScore_General.sf3,
FluidR3_GM.sf2 and FluidR3_GS.sf2 of which the last one does not give any sound
when the instrument is the piano; did not try another instrument.
The MuseScore_General.sf3 is the largest, so most likely contains the most
instruments.

While experimenting with these soundfonts there was no delay between the moving
cursor and playing the notes.

However after closing MuseScore and starting it again the delay reappeared.
Looking at the volume indicator in Synthesizer, this indicator is in sync with
the moving cursor, while the sound lacks behind.
Again after waiting, did not try anything for at least 30 minutes, the delay is
gone.
