In answer to comment#10 (looking at the installed Tumbleweed):

1. No, "View Only" is not set.

2. There is no Xvnc running in the Tumbleweed guest.

3. In the "Settings -> Advanced" menu on noVNC, there is a choice of logging
levels, but I've no idea how to access any logs.

4. For this I'll try starting and install again and see what happens.
