Glad to hear you found a workaround, and no need for apology. A bug report is always good. And judging from the alsa-info.sh output, it might be related with the new codec, and hopefully it's supported better now with a newer kernel. You can try the kernel in OBS Kernel:HEAD repo at any time while keeping the TW kernel as is. It's a good feature of multi-version installation. It's already 5.5-rc7, so mostly stable, I'd say. If you find the same problem with 5.5 kernel, feel free to reopen (or open another report) for tracking the problem again. Thanks.
