Comment # 20 on bug 1205640 from Bart Verhagen

It took me a while to reproduce the problem (after some more updates, I don't
seem to be able to reliably reproduce it). However, it occasionally still
occurs.

While it was occurring, I checked powertop as you suggested. However, the
device was already labeled as 'bad'. Toggling it to good (and back to bad) did
not fix it.
