Currently, autofs only performs NFS mounts reliably if the IPv4 address of the server is used. * If the server's hostname is used and, that resolves to an IPv6 address then, the NFS mount never completes -- it hangs. There's this Debian Bug Report #737679: "autofs does not appear to support IPv6 hostname lookups for NFS mounts" <https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=737679> This seems to be resolved with autofs 5.1.5. * Which available with Tumbleweed and the Leap 15.1 "filesystems" repository. Is it planned to make autofs version 5.1.5 available for regular Leap 15.1 and Leap 15.2?
