Please try the following: 1. Insert a card 2. Wait for the notification, mount the device 3. Run "udisksctl unmount -p /dev/mmcblk0p1" 4. Does "udisksctl status" still show it? Still listed by lsblk? 5. Run "udisksctl power-off -p /dev/mmcblk0p1" 6. Does "udisksctl status" still show it? Still listed by lsblk? 7. Re-insert the card and wait a bit 8. Does "udisksctl status" show it? Does lsblk show it? My guess is that "power-off" behaves weirdly with either udisks or the card reader.
