The recent kernel upgrade from 4.4.114 to 4.4.120 introduced some regression causing the following problems: - after successful suspend, resume was able to bring the machine back, but with a black screen. I was able to ssh into the machine, which seems to be working fine, but no display. Switching to a console ctrl-alt-F1, ctrl-backspace to restart X11, or any other key for that matter, do nothing. - after login, the saved KDE session does not get restored properly and Konsole has major problems to open new tabs (after a long time it shows "Could not start program '/bin/bash' with arguments '/bin/bash'", but after some more time it shows the prompt, but that tab can't be closed anymore). I am unsure as to whether the two are related. I had a look around in the logs/journalctl, but found nothing that could give my limited skills a clue on the cause. I was able revert back to the previous kernel-default version and the problems disappeared.
