For some reason 'zypper up' is missing the --from <alias|#|URI> option, which 'zypper dup' and some other commands have. This prevents updates in certain scenarios, for instance in case a new version of a package adds a new dependency, but that resides only in a different repository. Such package is not selected for update at all when using --repo and remains outdated forever.
