sddm[1076]: Auth: sddm-helper exited with 2 Probably because it uses /usr/etc/ as path, which is wrong Bug 1195679 is tracking the issue with macro itself, however Stefan Weiberg said that the plan is to revert usage of %{_distconfdir} from all packages including systemd and sddm (this particular bug). SLE will have %{_distconfdir} set to /etc until issues in individual packages get resolved. This is an tracker to resolve it (remove the macro usage) for sddm.
