I tried to update mysql-connector-java to version 8.0.12 but its not possible
without Maven. Same thing for MariaDB Connector/J. I'm not sure why mysql is
used instead of the mariadb one though.

As @Kristyna said, we do not pack Maven, and I think it will take some time. I
would close this bug as wontfix for now.
