Application overview before gnome-software installation (default GNOME, 1st
run)
Just installed Build 451.2 using net install image and the default GNOME
desktop role, and it seems gnome-software is no longer installed by default.
Which may not be a major problem in itself -- there is the PK updater and YaST
package installer of course -- but it leads to the lack of folders in the
application overview for categories like "Sundry", "Utilities", and most
importantly "YaST". Without these folders, the application overview looks
bloated with too many applications (see attached images).
If the removal of gnome-software (from the default GNOME pattern) has been done
intentionally, please consider that it is currently the only user-friendly way
BIOS updates can be carried out (via fwupd) from inside the GNOME desktop
without requiring some other OS entirely. I would request bringing this back.
Thanks
