scsi_id now a days.

Can you try sg_inq:

/usr/bin/sg_inq -p di --export /dev/sda
/usr/bin/sg_inq -p di --export /dev/sdb
/usr/bin/sg_inq -p di --export /dev/sdc

Adding Hannes to the bug, this seems more his 'area'.
