Interestingly when using the text-mode virtual terminals, (at least) two letters of the hungarian alphabet are displayed incorrectly: I get õ instead of ő, and û instead of ű. This is the same as displaying a hungarian text file (written in iso-8859-2) using iso-8859-1. Isn't it unicode? Or are just the characters wrongly positioned in the charset table?
