There are reports about high memory usage of the calendar's KDEPIM events plugin under certain circumstances. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=367541 https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375395 https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1008797 So I would suggest trying to disable this one as a first step.
