In Leap 15.4 the app-default file XScreenSaver is located in: /usr/lib/X11/app-defaults however when xscreensaver starts it looks for such file in the $HOME, /etc/X11, /usr/share/X11 and /usr/lib64/X11 but not in /usr/lib/X11, therefore any settings present in XScreenSaver is ignored.
