Ah no, that's a known bug, and I'm not sure why you get this out of sudden.
The file should have been dropped many years ago.

Maybe it's some dracut change that caused the problem, but basically it's a bad
config file there.  Deleting it is the right solution.

BTW, the reason why it doesn't work at boot is that dracut couldn't put the
relevant module files for codecs into initrd while only the controller driver
module has been put in initrd.
