If someone could modify cifscreds and pam_cifscreds to both use the user
keyring as you suggest, then the kernel also probably needs to be changed so
that when the multiuser mount option is used, it is able to get the keys from
the user keyring.

Personally, that seems like the right thing to do to me, but I am far from
experienced with the kernel.
