Comment # 1 on bug 1136362 from Mark Gray

This happened on some of my machines as well (none of which had btrfs). It
appears to be due to the fact that a python script in the package is used to
defrag the rpm database and this can take a long, long time on rotating rust
boxes with a long history of updates/upgrades. (Just my 2 cents worth -- please
fix this somehow -- it seems to me that a rpmdb --rebuilddb before installation
would speed things up, but I am just guessing).
