Comment # 123 on bug 1046436 from Gerry Gavigan

If anything things seem to be regressing as my installations of Tumbleweed are
beginning to exhibit this problem. 

They are different computers from different manufacturers (e.g., I first
noticed it on a ASUS laptop but it has since crept on to an Acer laptop.

The keyboard reverts to US layout with no obvious reason why, e.g.,

 home/[me]/.local/share/kded5/keyboard/session/layout_memory.xml
