leap 42.1 beta1, upgrade over milestone2 (via .iso) complains that to be installed product is not compatible with existing product had a simple opensuse leap 42.1 milestone2 x64 installation fetched the current full leap 42.1 beta1 x64 .iso image file from <http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/leap/42.1-Beta1/iso/> booted up the grub menu of it and went into upgrade entry, then the yast installer came up, looked for the single root partition and identified the existing leap 42.1 milestone2 and offered to upgrade that. some one or two dialogs later, it still briefly complained that the to be installed product was not compatible with the existing product on disk, or so i understood the message. it then showed up the summary of what was going to be installed and actually did start the installation/upgrade of a lot of packages (5000+), milestone2 was a default installation before. so i am not that sure if all those 5000plus packages changed with beta1 and if all those gigabytes are supposed to be installed. maybe upgrades of milestones to betas and such are not that supported or tested or intended at this point of development and pre-release. thanks and greetings.
