Comment # 2 on bug 1002875 from Axel Braun

I noticed on an older Dell D630 Laptop Plymouth screen does not show up on
startup. It remains first with a blinking cursor, then a black screen, and
afterwards some system messages before the KDE login screen appears.
During shutdown, Plymouth scrren shortly shows up.
