I think I'm having the same problem with a difference. My laptop boots fine,
but after a suspend/resume cycle (by closing/opening the lid), the screen is
black.

I'll attach a hopefully relevant log (kernel logs without most firewall
records). The records starting at Sep 02 22:52:48 are from Tumbleweed snapshot
20240901, those starting at Sep 02 22:59:24 are snapshot 20240830, and those
after Sep 02 23:19:51 are snapshot 20240829 (when suspend/resume started
working again).

I'll try downgrading kernel-firmware-* packages tomorrow (or, rather, lock them
before upgrading from 20240829), if it hasn't already been done by then. FYI, I
noticed that ucode-amd was also upgraded between 20240829 and 20240901, if that
might have any bearing.
