Comment # 5 on bug 1108793 from Stefan Hundhammer

A reviewing of old bugs shows that this particular problem no longer exists.

I cloned my existing system to an AutoYaST profile and edited it with a text
editor to change the keyboard layout from "german" to "italian", then imported
that file to the AutoYaST config module and wrote it again to a different
filename, and the "italian" keymap entry was still there.

It might have been any of the many changes over the years that fixed this, but
AFAICS it is indeed fixed.
