Issue found and workaround added. plasma5-desktop provides two appdata files with the same Name attribute: org.kde.desktopcontainment.appdata.xml org.kde.plasma.desktop.appdata.xml By renaming org.kde.desktopcontainment from "Desktop" to "Desktop Containment" the message disappears, so this looks like a bug in the package management.
