That does indeed help. Adding --no-reload there gets rid if the final "systemd[1]: Reloading", which in the attached log was done shortly after "Removed /etc/systemd/system/sysinit.target.wants/grub2-once.service" and shortly before unmounting stuff, and it also gets rid of the unmounting.
