Comment # 7 on bug 1073201 from Felix Miata

Booted to 15.0, 'hwinfo --framebuffer > out' pegs CPU for more than 10 seconds,
produces empty out file, and no clues in journal or dmesg. Booted to 42.3
installer, output is "> bios.4.2: mode info", and CPU stays pegged at least 7
minutes, apparently indefintely, also leaving no dmesg clues.
