Possible fix for second crash.
I had finally time to reproduce this issue again and try the upstream patch. It
fixes the crash on initialization, however another crash happens as soon as any
application tries to use randr.
The attached patch prevents the second crash from happening, but I am not sure
if it is proper fix or papering over another problem. I will discuss that
upstream.
