AFAIK, yes, the system was upgraded from Leap 15.0 so any changes in the installer system would not fix the issue. I guess in general any "changes" to the installer can also induce a need for corresponding changes for the upgrade case which can effectively only mean the mentioned %post script additions, right? So far the machine is still in the pre-update state with a zypper lock added on the old package version. I have not yet understood what entry to /etc/fstab I would need to add or what path explicitly I should pass to `mksubvolume`.
