I do not understand. The problem is specific to SuSE, as several other distributions seem to work fine and also openSuSE was working perfectly until Leap 42.3. Maybe it's not only the kernel that is responsible for the issue but also some other component is involved. Also I'm not sure if using a tumbleweed kernel on Leap 15.1 is supposed to work. It is quite some time that I tried different kernels, but things got even worse.
