I believe both pre systemd and post systemd are slow. I am uploading a video of the bootup and will share a link in next 15 minutes. I am using a USB to boot. I am not confident if its USB 2.0 or 3.0. But the total bootup took over 6 minutes. Approx minute was spent on just creating a filesystem. I belive the video should help to understand the issue.
