Hello,

I have a laptop with openSUSE Leap and Gnome installed. For some reason
LibreOffice Writer is extremely slow. The initial load time is short, but as
after the main Writer window appears with buttons (but no menu text yet), it
hangs for about 30 seconds and is unusable until it finally renders the menu
text. It does this when loading a new document and when opening an existing
document.

LibreOffice Calc loads quickly and is immediately usable on the same system.
The problem only appears to exist in Writer.

Under Openbox, this problem does not exist with Writer.

I tried removing the LibreOffice profile folder and starting fresh, but it made
no difference.

I also tried using a different GTK theme, which makes no difference.

I also tried LibreOffice with the GTK2 and the GTK3 interfaces
(SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk and SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk3) but this makes no difference
in the performance.

After upgrading to the version in the
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/LibreOffice:/5.1/openSUSE_Leap_42.1
repo, the problem is resolved.

Thanks!
