Hi Petr,
to come back to my first point: I am using 13.1 and have been trying to compile
the version you use for 13.2 - no way.
But, if I am downloading the version from factory, everything is fine (apart
from the gzipped info files issue).
The difference shows here:

octave-3.8.2-suitesparse-4.4.patch

If this one is applied, compilation on 13.1 works flawlessly, if not,
compilation is terminating with error messages.

Therefore I switched to the version from factory - just to explain.
