This started to work after updating to latest Tumbleweed and using WIRELESS_EAP_AUTH='mschapv2' interestingly, when using yast2 lan to reconfigure the interface, it drops the value again claiming "ANY" was selected. yast produces WIRELESS_EAP_AUTH='MSCHAPV2' when explicitly selecting this. This also works. So it seems yast's network config parser is overly case-sensitive. And wicked/wpa_supplicant could handle the empty ANY value better.
