Comment # 7 on bug 1206163 from Matthias Gerstner

The design feels a bit peculiar:

- the "client" mode is a privileged mode, and the "daemon" mode is an
  unprivileged  which is kind of unexpected. Usually one would expect the
  opposite.
- the "client" which actually registers a service on the D-Bus system bus only
  shortly appears to send out this signal and then disappears again. Usually a
  serivce should be long running.

Apart from these peculiar bits I don't see any security relevant issues
though. I started the whitelisting process for Factory.
