The issue seems to be related to having DisplayPorts rather than how many monitors a person has. At least according to the issue I found which is here https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=100871 (titled "radeon fails to initialize one DisplayPort monitor") and where I reported it. It is more pronounced with me because I have all displayports and I thought that would make me ideal as someone who could help dig into the details.
