Back when SUSE was purchased by Novell (around 2003 or 2004?), we needed to
unify the bugtrackers between both companies, and the result was a heavily
modified Bugzilla with many custom changes, so the bug history of both
companies could be retained, and many very specific features. So compatibility
with upstream seemed to have suffered a lot.

Yes, I know that a modern Bugzilla, while neither pretty nor particularly
feature rich or user friendly, at least offers some basics like editing one's
posts. It's at least on a level of, say, 2010 software. Ours is not. :-((
