Created attachment 687914 [details] ifconfig immediately after the KDM Greeter appeared. Bug 916956 - "Acquiring of IPv6 address is delayed" dated February 2015 through April 2016 looks almost the same but, there are comments indicating that, from the view of the originator, the issue reported there has disappeared. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Linux 3.16.7-35-desktop openSUSE 13.2 (Harlequin) (x86_64) wicked Version: 0.6.31-33.1 Searching the journal for the period 20th April 2016 through to now, from the time that the Ethernet interface is up until, the DHCPv6 lease is committed, mostly 7 to 9 minutes pass. There were a few examples of 3 to 4 minutes but, they're the exception. ----------------------------------------------------------------- The DSL Router and DHCP server is an AVM FRITZ!Box 7490. The same behaviour occurred with an AVM FRITZ!Box 7270 in use up until spring this year. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Attached: traces from today: - ifconfig before and after the DHCPv6 lease was committed; - today's Journal -- filtered: grep -iE 'network|wicked|avahi|DHCP|v4|v6|ntp' - Wireshark trace of the Ethernet segment -- filtered: only the 13.2 machine's traffic.
