Comment # 17 on bug 860779 from Kurt Garloff

Hmmm, this has unfortunately been hanging around for a long time now, because I
have not digged into how to open a maintenanerequest correctly. Sorry for that!

There's three possible ways forward:
(1) We just close this issue, leaving a somewhat suboptimal (but working)
version in 13.1.
(2) I submit the better fix from 1.42.1
(3) I submit a newer version of dd_rescue 1.46 or even 1.98 which have some
additional bugfixes but also newer features (lzo plugin and in case of 1.98
crypt plugin).

Let me know what's most appropriate for openSUSE here.
