attached rsyslog conf example
Hello Geeko minions,
please see attached tgz with my rsyslog configuration ... consider to do it
like this, it's much nicer, cleaner, smoother ... just easy and straightforward
improvement ..
I've just put additional filter rules in separate files into rsyslog.d/
directory and added to main rsyslog.conf file
$IncludeConfig /etc/rsyslog.d/*.frule
This is just example-ish proposal, you could be ofc even more cunning in what
you'd split to rsyslog.d
I was yet lazy enough to NOT create for you instant patch for .spec and SOURCE
files .. If you wish, I can do it for your, just say a word ..
regards, dan
ps. aggregating with this one - QT messages now come into var/log/messages,
it's utterly ugly .. could be suppressed at some extent with exporting
QT_LOGGING_TO_CONSOLE=1 from per user ~/.profile (or etc/profile.d for example)
but it doesn't work at 100% so please consider at least to apply my rule to our
default config that is in attached .tgz as rsyslog.d/org-kde.frule
